Oh Good,
You're Here.
Scholarly enough to footnote it. Funny enough to make you forget she did. Welcome to the creative platform of Cynthia Millhorn, M.A., M.A.
Cynthia Millhorn, M.A., M.A.
Many things.
All of them true.
Cynthia Millhorn is a storyteller, educator, author, and performer who refuses to be just one thing. Scholarly and silly. Warm and wickedly funny. The kind of person who can hold a room through grief and laughter — sometimes in the same breath.
She holds dual master's degrees in Communication & Storytelling Studies and Liberal Studies, and is a performing member of the Jonesborough Storytellers' Guild. Her work spans live performance, literary publication, theatrical development, and film — unified by a commitment to character-driven storytelling delivered with wit, warmth, and artistry.
Every room tells a different story.
The Conservatory is a creative platform with many doors. Each one opens into a different world — all of them hers.

Daughters
Brothers Grimm · Deconstructed · One Hour · One Woman · Four Archetypes
These are deconstructed magical tales that explore the reality of women in dire, real-world circumstances — with limited choices and impossible stakes.
And yet — limited choices are still choices. Each woman must decide. Good or evil, the consequences are hers to own, regardless of what brought her to the door.
Daughters leads you into a world of unexpected reimagining — shades of gray, moral complexity, and women who refuse to be simply explained. Shockingly relatable. Thought-provoking. And more inspiring than you'll see coming.
"She belongs on Broadway." — Jamie Kohn
Outstanding Graduate Capstone, ETSU 2024. Performed at Atlanta Fringe Festival, The Wallace Theatre, and beyond. Available for booking now.
Learn More & BookThe audience always speaks.
Cynthia has an extraordinary gift for meeting people exactly where they are and taking them exactly where they need to go.
— Jessica Phillips, Audience Member, Live Performance
She is the most naturally funny, deeply intelligent performer I have seen in years. The audience was in tears — one minute because of laughter and the next because of the beautiful emotion she stirs in your heart.
